Gillian Freimanis

Still water, deep and dark

Cool reflection pool

Unbroken image of trees and sky

Leaf falls

Gently floats, spins

Twirls to the mirror below

Image shatters

Crazed pieces jiggle and jostle

Ripples emanate

Expanding circles

Moving outwards

Still outwards, ever outwards

Slowly, sighing, tranquility returns

Fragmented pixels re unite.

Still image restored.
